Money Talks for a Walk ....

For those of you that don't already know, Joey is scared, terrified, petrified, paranoid, etc. of dogs. Our neighbors have the cutest little dog named Tootsie. She is a nice small dog. When we go to their house Joey insists on being on Joe's shoulders.

So last week they asked Joey if he would be interested in helping them with their dog when they go on vacations and that they would pay him $10 a day. (Yeah, so how many of you are thinking I need that job!) They told him he would need to practice taking care of her so they would know if they could hire him. So Saturday AM they asked him to take her for a walk for $5. Joey said yes at first and then got nervous and wouldn't come near Tootsie. So Joe and I ended up taking her for a walk. Well there was no way we were going to let our neighbors pay Joey $5 for not talking this dog on a walk so Joe finally said to Joey that he had to come and hold the leash and walk her down the street or no $5. We'll money talks .... Joey did it!!!! I ran in the house to get a picture to prove it. We are so proud of him! I am sure we are not out of the woods yet conquering this fear, but we have made huge progress.

Maybe I will become a dog walker. I might be able to tolerate a dog for $10!

That is awesome! Next he can come a scoop poop at our house. You guys must live in a ritzy neighborhood. We only pay $5 a day to Brandon's friend who takes care of our dog. Maybe we're just cheap.

Robert is afraid of dogs too. Do dogs make good 6 year old birthday presents?

Do what our older brother Pete did: DON'T CONQUER YOUR FEAR. Just take the job and throw open cans of dog food over the fence! If his snout is long enough, he won't starve! ;) Awesome!!!

10 bucks means he can buy me a CD every other day...

Yay, Joey! I wish I could have seen it. I love the part where you say he had to hold the leash- I'm still laughing.
