Super Seventeen!!!
We celebrated early in Las Vegas at the Donny and Marie show last weekend because Donny and Marie are on "vacation this weekend." It was AWESOME! One of the fun things about going to plays, musicals, concerts, etc. with Joe is that he insists on good seats or it isn't worth going. We had great seats ... good enough that during Marie's alone segment she flirted with Joe more times than I can count. She paid him sooooo much attention that the first thing Donny said when he came out is that he wanted to meet the guy in the green shirt named Joe.
Donny and Joe are already BFF. Five or six years ago Joe helped Donny get a breaker or wire or something electrical for his hot tub that needed fixed. They were on a first name basis and when Donny would call Joe at work he would say, "Hi Joe, this is Don." I am sure Donny often reflects on this experience. :)
While we were walking out of the show several people said, "Hi, Joe" and when we were crossing the street to get to Ceasars Palace for some much needed Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, a guy yelled out, "Hey, there's Joe." Something about that green shirt that everyone seemed to recognize.

The rest of the story......... After the show I was teasing Julianne and I said, "You know, Marie is single and she was winking and flirting with me." To which Julianne said, "Well....you can choose: you can be Marie's #3 or my #1!" I choose to be Julianne's #1! Love you tons, lover!

What a fun celebration! I was lucky to hear the story from Joe and now read it on your blog. What a great memory! It makes me want to go see them. People just can't seem to get enough of the Brooks!
I love it! I love Donny and Marie! And I can just imagine Joe fitting right in with them! He should do an act with them someday....Glad you guys had a great anniversary, couldn't get much better than Donny and Marie and the Cheesecake Factory!!!

Congrats on your 17th! I'm thinking maybe next year we should double for our 18th anniversaries. You guys sure know how to party! I'm sure you could teach Scott and me a thing or two! Glad you had such a fun time!
Looks like tons of fun and that you are in fact BFF's with Donny & Marie. To add to your excitement a little bird told me (very credible source) that Donny will be on Dancing with the Stars this next season and will likely be with Chelsie Hightower as his partner (that is his first choice). I can't reveal my source, but it's a solid one! You heard it here first!
I loved reading your anniversary post. It looks and sounds like you guys had an amazing time! You guys are such a wonderful example. I can see the love between you two and it is so special. Thanks for being such good role models to the rest of us! You're the best! Ohh and congrats on your anniversary. I hope we make it that long too! LOL
