This is a test

This is a test to see if anyone has checked my blog today! This is only a test.

For Everything Else There is Master Card

So Joe got a call at work today from Master Card. The person on the other end said that someone had been making cash advances from our account. Joe was very leary at first and checked our account online and sure enough there were cash advances recorded on our account. They immediately cancelled our account and are sending new cards. Yeah for good companies that watch our accounts for fraud!!!!

Sunblock Fanatic

So Joe is usually FANATIC about wearing sunscreen. He went skiing with the Young Men in our ward last weekend and got a bad sunburn on his face and about 50 cold sores on his lips. I called the Dr. and asked him to prescribe some Valtrex for Joe. He has taken it before and it has helped his cold sores -- but it was prescribed by another Dr. This Dr. says that it is too expensive and that it doesn't work. I was so annoyed. Needless to say, it is time to find a new Dr.
I was still gone so Joe took these pictures of himself and emailed them to me so I could see his sunburn. The cold sores came the next day.

Grandma's Birthday

I spent the weekend in Orem with Joey to celebrate my Grandma's 84th b-day. I love this picture that was taken at Christmas where my brother Nate is teaching my Grandma to play the Wii. I hope I will be such a good sport when I am in my 80s!

The rest of these pictures were taken from Sharon's blog who took them from our cousin Tami's blog. Thanks guys! Also I almost copied word for word what Sharon wrote -- is that legal?

Last Saturday we had a birthday party to celebrate my grandma's 84th birthday. It was so much fun to see cousins and aunts and uncles that we don't see very often.

Before

After

When it's your birthday you can do what you want with the cake! Some of the great-grand-children wanted the flowers, and the mom's said no, but when they walked away my grandma helped cut them out. What a great grandma!

Here are the cute centerpieces. My grandma loves daisies and my mom had the idea to fill the vases with peas. They looked so cute!

You Know It's a Bad Hair Day When .....

your regular hair dryer quits working and then your back up starts smoking and quits working too!!!! Guess I will wear my hair back in a pony tail today and make a trip to the store for 2 new hair dryers.

Snowmen, Gloves and Cookies

So .... We got some snow. That is BIG news for our neck of the woods. Have you ever seen such a tiny snowman? Joey LOVED the snow and we even had some to shovel. The neighborhood kids had so much fun playing in the snow.

Have you heard of the story where there is a woman at an airport and the man sitting next to her keeps eating her cookies? She gets all worked up inside and then later realizes she was eating HIS cookies! We'll I feel like I have had one of those experiences.

The neighborhood kids were playing outside in the snow. Joey had his gloves on. When it was time to come in he didn't have his gloves, but the neighbor boy had them on. I told the neighbor boy that we needed Joey's gloves and he insisted that they were his. I didn't want to make too big of issue of it so I just decided to drop it and talk to his mom next time I saw her. A few days later I saw his mom and she said that they didn't have Joey's gloves. GRRRRRR I was so worked up inside because they were the best gloves I had found for Joey. They are hard to come by in our area. They fit him so well and had a good clip on them, yada yada yada. Guess how I felt a couple of days later when I looked in the coat closet and there were Joey's gloves! I was happy, but felt so stupid that I had gotten so worked up inside over something so trivial. I immediately called the mom and told her what had happened and we had a good laugh. I was so glad I hadn't turned it into a huge issue with her. Lesson learned!
