The Stockings ....

(picture posted at Joey's request!) Can you tell there is excitement in the air around here?

The stockings were finally hung by the chimney with care ..... only for a second because Tommy can pull them down and we don't want him to get clunked in the head by one of the stocking holders!

Happy Birthday Tommy!

Check out the 2 bottom teeth and there is one on top!
Things about Tommy:

**Tommy loves anything that isn't a toy. In fact any of you that have an old computer keyboard or mouse that is junk to you, we would love it for Tommy!
**He has figured out how to shimmy the locks off our cupboards. He is so smart!
**He is taking several steps at a time.
** He also loves to stand right in front of the TV and yell at it when the Jazz game is on. HMMMMMM .... I wonder who he learned that from?
**He can hear the dishwasher open from any room in the house. He comes crawling in the kitchen just as fast as he can to help empty out the silverware.
**He wants nothing to do with baby food and wants to eat what we are eating, even if it is a bit spicy!
**He loves to be outside. If a door is left slightly open he can sneak outside in a jiffy.
**He is a Daddy's boy. When Joe comes home from work Tommy immediately wants to be picked up by Daddy. If Joe delays for even just a second Tommy gets upset.
** No one can make Tommy laugh hysterically like Joey. Joey can practically just look at Tommy and he laughs and laughs and laughs.
What a difference a year makes!

The first time Joey saw Tommy. He wasn't allowed in the NICU so he had to see him through the window.

Unfinished Projects

I have an ongoing problem with unfinished projects. Right now I am blaming it on my crafty sewing sisters that keep getting the cutest fabrics in their online shop. T hey are having a drawing for a charm pack. The drawing ends today!

Busy as a man can be????????

Joe has been preparing for weeks for today's BYU game ...... mentally and physically

But when you have the nicest neighbors in the world that are HUGE Oklahoma fans a little bit of friendly rivalry is inevitable

We flew our blue "Y" flag with pride, just like every other BYU game day

Joe has worked hard on the yard preparing it for game day

We have all had our BYU shirts on all day .... maybe we are all a little BYU crazy

GO COUGARS! Keep up the good work.

First Day of School

First Grade

This is one excited first grader. He woke up at 5:51AM because he was so anxious to be to school. I am not sure how this "tradition" started but Joey likes me to take a picture of his backpack on the first day of school. It started back in his preschool days.
Joey's favorite part of school today was school lunch --- chicken nuggets, smiley face french fries, red jello and chocolate milk. Life doesn't get much better than that!

Sweet Sixteen PLUS one

Happy Anniversary
Super Seventeen!!!

We celebrated early in Las Vegas at the Donny and Marie show last weekend because Donny and Marie are on "vacation this weekend." It was AWESOME! One of the fun things about going to plays, musicals, concerts, etc. with Joe is that he insists on good seats or it isn't worth going. We had great seats ... good enough that during Marie's alone segment she flirted with Joe more times than I can count. She paid him sooooo much attention that the first thing Donny said when he came out is that he wanted to meet the guy in the green shirt named Joe.

Donny and Joe are already BFF. Five or six years ago Joe helped Donny get a breaker or wire or something electrical for his hot tub that needed fixed. They were on a first name basis and when Donny would call Joe at work he would say, "Hi Joe, this is Don." I am sure Donny often reflects on this experience. :)

While we were walking out of the show several people said, "Hi, Joe" and when we were crossing the street to get to Ceasars Palace for some much needed Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, a guy yelled out, "Hey, there's Joe." Something about that green shirt that everyone seemed to recognize.

This picture is the best we could do. No photography allowed inside the theater.

So glad that I am Joe's #1!!!

My brother returned from his mission in Ireland. His plane was supposed to come in quite late so we were not going to see him for about a week. He ended up making an earlier connection and was going to arrive at the SLC airport around 6:30pm. We found this out at 3pm and jumped in the car and did a quick up and back in the same day to Orem. We got home at 1:30AM. So worth it! Joey's Swim MeetsTommy sporting Joey's googles

Tommy Update

So long farewell ... auf weidersehen good-bye
Today the home health care folks came and picked up Tommy's apnea monitor! We are all done with the oxygen tanks, monitors, cords, etc. HOORAY!!! Tommy LOVES the TV remote and the computer mouse. He has a little tantrum if you don't let him hold it. He is a REAL man already! We are smart enough to give him one that doesn't work and he doesn't realize it isn't the real one .... at least not yet. How does a six month old already know and care about remotes?

Tommy is now almost 22 pounds. He was 21 lbs 13 ounces at his 6 month old Dr. appointment this week. Not too bad for a preemie! No one can make Tommy laugh as much and as hard as Joey. We are so lucky to have 2 wonderful sons!!!
